PKP HotPatch 3
PKP HotPatch 3 is a container-based mobile asphalt unit developed for producing hot asphalt mix directly at or near a job site or repair location. The unit addresses situations where conventional asphalt plant logistics are slow, expensive, or impractical.
On-site asphalt patching
PKP HotPatch 3 is a container-based mobile asphalt unit that enables the production of high-quality hot asphalt mix directly at the job site or repair location.
The unit was developed to remove the bottlenecks of traditional asphalt logistics: long transport distances, high costs, and dependence on fixed asphalt plants' operating hours or winter shutdowns. Instead of temporary, low-quality cold patching, repairs are carried out immediately using durable hot mix.
Key technologies
- Container-based mobile structure
- Aggregate system
- Bitumen heating and circulation
- Mixer
- Weighing / dosing
- Control system
- Hot mix discharge
- Transportability and on-site use
Use cases
- Road and street repairs
- Airports
- Industrial areas
- Ports and terminals
- Private roads and remote locations
- Critical infrastructure
The unit is also suitable for use in challenging weather and winter conditions.
Benefits
- Hot mix close to the repair site — Reduces dependence on the location of a fixed asphalt plant.
- Suited to smaller patching volumes — Enables more practical operation when a full asphalt truckload isn’t justified.
- Mobile and flexible solution — Suited to sites where patching needs vary and distances can be long.
